County Fairs..

Sorry i haven't posted in a few days my county fair was this week and i have been super busy. I had alot of fun and saw some old friends and even met some new ones :) I tried to take as many pictures as possible but alot of them didn't turn out because of the lighting in the barns and around the fair grounds.

As I'm not the biggest fan of rides i do love to see them at night with all the lights on :) Josh tried to make my brother ride that really tall one your see in the picture above, It was called POWER it went upside down and all the way around in mid air!!! It made me scared to even look at this ride.

On one of my many trips to town to run to pick up things during the fair i made a trip to our local feed store to find these goodies... a little girl from our town makes candies and cookies to sell there. She has been trying all different recipes all year long for the fair. Once at the store i learned that when she arrived at the fair with her yummy candies she didn't have enough of her candy on the plate to enter the fair
 :( The candies i bought are red velvet cake pops YUMMY!!! She also decorated them in the fair theme :)

My brother showed a steer as well and was 2nd place :) His steer sold in the sale last night for $4,400 Good job buddy :)

As for me My steer was Reserve Grand Champion Yayy... He also sold tonight and brought $22,000

I had a great time with all my friends and family...

Dear Boyfriend, Today as well as every other day you teach me patients. You have taught me to learn to accept the fact that today you would rather be at NASCAR...I kinda wanted to go at first but I'm okay with that since I'm stuck at my county fair :(  I was told today that girls aren't allowed at Nascar!!! Like for reals!! What is this the flipping 1800's!!! I will be attending next year :)

Dear Best Friend, I'm pretty excited your coming to see me tomorrow :)  Forever 21 is calling our name as well as our usually trip to Cheesecake Factory to talk about love, life, and family!! love you Jess ;)

Dear Sadie, Thank you for being a good little puppy today while i gave you a bath, i know how badly you hate them ;) But could you please stop chewing up all my good clothes!! Most dogs chew shoes... NOT Sadie she chews chic new clothes. Never ugly ones i guess you have good taste..

Eat Pray Love

As most of you know i truly enjoy cooking and anything else that goes along with food..
A few months ago i stumbled along this chic grocery store just a few miles from my house and let me just tell you i fell in LOVE!!! They bake there own bread fresh daily, along with deserts, candies, fresh meats, and many other things. As there are only a few of these stores in the US i am grateful enough to have one just down the road from where i live :)

Drum Roll Please!!!

The pictures from my IPhone didn't do it Justice but i promise it is amazing!!

There is also the most presh little restaurant up stairs and they also have cooking classes which i will be attending this summer!!

After about an hour or so of looking around this is what i ending up coming home with :)

Fresh watermelon juice, Organic cheese crackers, Organic household cleaner, New potatoes, Green beans, Baby carrots, a chic tea pot, and a loaf of fresh 4 cheese bread...

Dinner will be amazing tonight...

P.S. The garden is growing wonderfully we have baby green beans :)

I have also added 3 more beds to plant in. Here's a few pictures.. Happy Wednesday!!!

Just FEET...

Okay, i know your sitting there thinking eww why does she have pictures of feet on her blog???

Well ill tell you today is TOMS one day without shoes..

This is something i feel very strongly about and think it is amazing what this company has done for millions of people!!!

Not only does TOMS have some of the cutest shoes for every pair of TOMS you buy they give a pair of shoes to people in need.

Once a year they ask people to try and go one day without shoes.. Not to much to ask right??

Well i tried it this year and let me just tell you it's RUFF at the end of the day i had the dirtiest feet ever!! As went around in PUBLIC with no shoes i got a few weird looks let me tell you :)

I would have taken pictures but that's just a little gross..

Today was a wonderful day and i raised awareness for TOMS...

If you haven't bought a pair of TOMS yet I promise you'll LOVE them!!

I own 4 pairs :)

Can you go a day without shoes??

Seize the Day and Live Life Fully....

This week has been a simply wonderful week!! I have cooked more this week than i think i have in a whole year.. I have officially decided that i want cooking to not only become a passion but a career.. I can't wait too see what God has in store for me with that part of my life. This week i made pie crust, mini chicken pot pies, enchiladas, rice crispy treats, pecan pie muffins, creme brulee, and lasagna. I couldn't be more proud of my self since i have never made any of these things before EVER!! I'm telling you I'm a real Betty crocker!! I really do believe this is going to become a true passion of mine. I tried to take pictures of everything i made but i forgot about a few and had to borrow some for Mr. Google... Enjoy!!!

Anyways other than cooking i have had a wonderful week and also have one amazing weekend planned Josh is coming to visit tomorrow yayyy:) Sadie has missed him and can't wait to see him... Josh's mother also sent Sadie a care package this week full of fun doggie toys and cute little red raincoat... Pictures will follow from this weekends fun :)

Letters to God...

Dear, GOD

            I have learned more in this past year from you than one person can possible learn in a life time. Not only have i learned good things from you i have also learned a few i wish i hadn't.  I understand that you have to take life in steps just like the instructions on the back of a cake mix box, if you forget to add the eggs your cake will not rise. A lot like life huh.... and even like love in some ways. I still have a lot to learn about life i know but i feel that sometimes you need to take a step back from the things that cause you stress and problems in your life, Because life is short and if you knew you had one week to live how would you change it. I have been thinking alot about days and hours lately and how i would change them if i could take them back. I also believe everything you have happen to us is some how to teach us some kind of lesson.... Well thank you God for all the lessons you have taught me these past few years. I wish to have some of the people you have taken to Heaven back with me but i know they are better in Heaven with you... Please tell them hi for me and that i miss them dearly.... Today i also ask you to help me determine the right paths to take me down and how to take this thing called life and turn it into something beautiful.. Tell Granny i love her and that i miss her
